This limited edition SW1911 E-Series was designed to commemorate the Greek God of the Sea, Poseidon. Poseidon was known to be hot-headed and would often lose his temper which caused earthquakes and tsunamis.
Gun Design
The slide, frame, and grip have been engraved with spiral scrolls to represent high seas and rogue waves. There are also serrations on the fore and aft to incorporate fish scales. Poseidon is seen plated in 24 KT gold riding a fish-horse hybrid. The God’s Trident, also plated in 24 KT gold, is on the left side on the gun. The aqua marine background contrasts beautifully with the gold accents and stainless satin finish.
The gun is in new condition and comes with a commemorative coin. The special issue coin has profile of the Goddess Athena on one side and a portrait of Poseidon raiding his Trident while riding his immortal horses Pegasus and Arian.
Smith & Wesson only produced 200 of the Poseidon edition guns in the Gods of Olympus collection. The gun available for auction is number 66 in the series. The gun is chambered in .45 ACP, has a capacity of 7, and comes with 2 magazines.
