Selling a Used Car
Did you know that on average, it takes about two months to sell a used car? At Compass, consigned cars can sell in less than a month!
Anyone who’s sold a car can talk about their haggling experience. Sellers haggle with salesmen at dealerships, and with potential buyers if they choose to sell their car by themselves.
At auction, the hassle of haggling isn’t part of the process. Once a consignor gives Compass a used car, the sale price — unless there is an agreed upon reserve — depends on the bidders.
Consignors provide Compass with info on their used car, like its make, model, mileage, and year. You should also give info like the car’s registration and images of your vehicle.
When dealerships figure out the value of a used car, salesmen factor in the time it takes to re-sell your vehicle. Consigning a used vehicle with Compass is similar but without the haggling. Our staff takes care getting a clean title for vehicles you purchase and handing it over after a sale, saving you time and effort. Depending on the item, this could take up to 30 days.
When you consign with Compass, you can ditch marketing your car on social media or with a roadside “For Sale” sign. We take care of marketing your vehicle so you don’t have to. You don’t even have to meet the buyer — just drop off your used car after consignment and let us take it from there.
Buying a Used Car
Just like the ease that comes with selling a used car through Compass, buying a car is also made easy. The transaction when buying at auction is less complicated than other ways to buy a used car. There’s less moving parts at auction — the first big step is placing a winning bid.
Anyone is welcome to visit Compass’ facility to check out a vehicle up for auction in-person. We don’t offer test drives, but you’re welcome to start the vehicle and check it out.
Our listings are transparent. You can always email us or give us a call if you want to know more about one of our items.
Once you’ve placed a winning bid and paid for the vehicle, come by in-person or arrange for the pick-up of their new ride! We will even send the title to you by mail, making that one less thing for you to worry about. You will still need to take the vehicle to get the registration and final transfer of title.
