This month, Compass is working with Ultimate Face Cosmetics to auction a pink 2008 Ducati 848 motorcycle. The custom bike portrayed the Autobot Arcee in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Proceeds from the Ducati auction will go to Motorcycle Missions, an Austin, Texas non-profit group. Motorcycle Missions helps recovering veterans and first responders suffering with PTS(D) find hope and healing through motorcycle therapy.
Motorcycle Missions
Founded in 2016, Motorcycle Missions offers several programs that help veterans and first responders. This includes the Motorcycle Build Mentorship, where motorcycle builds happen each week. So far, the mentorship has done eleven custom motorcycle builds over five years.
Another Motorcycle Missions program is Project MX, where participants meet up for fun events like motocross and camping. These events build camaraderie and release adrenaline, reducing symptoms of PTS(D).
People involved in these programs mention the hope and encouragement they have felt because of their participation. Strong communities form in groups with a shared sense of loss, especially when they work together.
Ultimate Face Cosmetics
The Ducati featured in Compass’ upcoming auction was donated by Ultimate Face Cosmetics. Gary and Laurie Spellman founded Ultimate Face in 2002, hoping to amplify the inner beauty in everyone.
Ultimate Face was founded following the Spellmans’ many years of experience distributing products by John Paul Mitchell Systems.
The Spellmans founded Ultimate Face following over 25 years of experience in the professional beauty industry. They founded Ultimate Face with commitments to the environment and their community.
Transformers
2009’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the second live-action Transformers movie. The film follows the adventures of Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf), heroic robots called Autobots, and the less-than-heroic Decepticons.
Arcee is a member of the Autobots and makes her first live-action appearance in Revenge of the Fallen. She later appeared in the 2018 spin-off movie Bumblebee.
Arcee appears in the movie alongside her sisters Chromia and Elita-1, portrayed by a blue Suzuki B-King 2008 and a purple MV Augusta F4, respectively. The three sisters are notably the only female Autobots who appear in the film.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the third-highest-grossing Transformers movie. It ranks among the 100 highest-grossing movies ever made, along with the series’ next two installments.
Michael Bay directed the first five Transformers live-action movies. A new movie in the series, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, is slated for release in 2022.
This Ducati 848 was designed by Will Kenefick, who worked on the bikes during his time at RetroSBk. Kenefick spent a total of over 2,000 hours working on bikes for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Each bike cost more than $40,000 to make, with $10,000 spent to paint each bike.
Pre-bidding on the Arcee Ducati begins August 13 at 6:00 pm ET, and bidding begins closing on August 27 at 6:00 pm ET. For more info, email Info@SoldonCompass.com or call 800-729-6466.
